Moving to a village near Macclesfield is not a long-distance job. Prestbury, Bollington and Gawsworth are all a short drive from 34 Market Pl. They are also not estate closes with a turning circle. The last few minutes are lanes, hills or parked terraces.
Prestbury
Prestbury has a station, a high street of stone buildings and houses set back from lanes. Many have drives. Some drives are reached by a narrow road with walls. Tell us if a large van should stop on the wider road. The primary school is on Bollin Grove and the library is in the Reading Room, open on limited days. A piano in a front room is common enough that it should be on the list, not a surprise.
Bollington
Bollington is a mill town on a slope. Terraces, the canal and streets that gain height quickly are the pattern. The library is on Palmerston Street. There is no working station. The old line is the Middlewood Way. A van can use the main roads. A steep street with cars on both sides may only allow a short stop. Say if the door is up steps from the kerb.
Gawsworth
Gawsworth is more spread out, south-west of town on the way towards the Congleton Road. Longbutts Lane and the primary school are landmarks. Lanes can be single track. A long drive is an asset if the van fits, and a problem if it does not. We would rather carry from a passing place than meet another vehicle with nowhere to go.
What to send with the quote
The full address, a note on the last stretch, and photos of the gate, the stair and the parking. House removals cover these villages as ordinary local work. Request a quote before you assume a large van can stand at the door. Quotes stay valid for 3 months.
Rainow and Langley are hill villages with the same kind of question, if your move is further east or south. The rule is the same. Describe the lane, not just the village name.
