If there is a lift, we use it for what it can safely hold and carry the rest.

Insurance is provided. Ask us what is covered when you book. We follow the building’s hours when you have told us them. We do not pad an entire block, and we do not accept liability for a lift we were told was booked when it was not.

How our service works

We ask for the floor, the lift size, the parking and any landlord note. Photos of the stair turn are worth more than a room count. The quote is written and stays valid for 3 months.

On the day we meet you at the entrance, confirm where the van can stand, and work in an order that does not block the only stair. Neighbours still need to pass. At the new flat we place furniture in the rooms, which in a small hallway means the largest piece often goes in first.

If the lift is out of order and we were told it would be working, we stop and agree a new plan. Carrying a top-floor flat on the stairs is a different job.

What affects the cost

The floor and the shape of the stair matter as much as the amount of furniture. A ground-floor apartment with a door to the car park is straightforward. A conversion above a shop, with a dog-leg stair and a bay two streets away, takes longer.

Lift bookings, permit parking, the volume of boxes, and a request to pack all change the quote. So does the distance to the new home. Tell us both addresses and the building rules at the start.
