What’s included

The packing service covers the rooms you choose. We bring boxes, paper and covers, wrap fragile pieces, and label every box with the room it belongs to. You get a simple note of what was packed so nothing is a mystery at the other end.

A kitchen means crockery, pans, food you are keeping, and small appliances that are clean and cool. Glass, mirrors and framed pictures are wrapped as their own group, not dropped into a mixed box. Clothes can go into wardrobe cartons if you want them. We do not pack hazardous items, open paint, or anything leaking.

Insurance is provided. Ask us what is covered when you book. Packing is often booked with a house move, a flat move or an office move. It can also be booked on its own if another crew is loading, as long as the timing is clear.

How our service works

Tell us the address, the rooms and whether the furniture move is ours or someone else’s. We quote the people and the materials. That quote stays valid for 3 months.

On packing day we work room by room. You do not need to hover, but someone should be in the house to answer questions about what is being left behind. We do not throw donations out and we do not decide that a chipped mug stays. If you want a charity pile, make it before we arrive.

Boxes are stacked in a sensible place, not in front of the only exit. If we are also moving you, the labels match the unloading plan. If another firm is moving you, we still label clearly so their crew can read the rooms.

What affects the cost

Time is the main factor. A tidy kitchen with crockery already out of deep cupboards is faster than a garage full of mixed boxes from ten years ago. Fragile collections take paper and care. Books need more boxes, not bigger ones.

A second visit to unpack, a request for extra wardrobe cartons, and a house that is not ready when we arrive all change the quote. Say what you will do yourself and we will not double up.

Where packing is useful locally

Stone houses in Prestbury and mill terraces in Bollington often have china, pictures and awkward cupboards that are slow to do after work. Flats in Wilmslow and Poynton are easier if the boxes are finished before the van arrives, because the stair or the lift should not be a packing bench.
