Directions from Adlington to our base
Adlington in Cheshire sits between Prestbury and Poynton, on the railway north of Macclesfield. It is a village, not the Lancashire town of the same name. Houses are a mix of older village homes and later family houses, some on Brookledge Lane near the primary school, some closer to the station. Drives are common. A few lanes are tighter than the main road, with walls and parked cars.
From 34 Market Pl we go north through Tytherington and Prestbury. It is a short drive, a little further than Prestbury itself. The station is the useful pin if your house is on that side. If you are towards Poynton, say so. We do not want the Lancashire station in the directions, and we do not want a van sent to the wrong end of the village.
House moves are typical. Furniture lists should include what is in the garage. If you are leaving for another part of the UK, the lane and the parking are still the first half of the day. Packing helps with kitchens and glass. A man and van is enough only when the list is genuinely small.
Adlington Primary is on Brookledge Lane. Poynton High School says it serves this village among others, which is a starting point, not a promise of a place. Libraries are in Poynton and, on fewer days, in Prestbury. There is a station here. Use the Cheshire one when you check trains, because not every service stops. Council tax and bins are Cheshire East. On moving day, keep the station approach and any narrow lane open for other drivers.
