Prestbury is the village north of Tytherington, spread around the Bollin, the church and a high street of stone buildings. Houses range from cottages close to the centre to larger homes on plots set back from the lane. Newer streets sit among the older ones. A drive is common, but the approach can be a narrow lane with walls, hedges and little room to turn.

From 34 Market Pl the van goes north through Tytherington. It is a short drive. The station is a good pin if your house is near the line. If you are out towards the golf course side or on a lane with passing places, say so. We would rather plan a shuttle from a wider spot than meet a tractor halfway down a single track with a full van.

House moves are the usual work. Pianos turn up in front rooms more often here than on a town estate, and solid furniture does not enjoy a tight stair. Packing for glass and pictures is a sensible add-on. If you are leaving the village for another part of the UK, the local half is still this lane and this parking, then a longer drive after the van is loaded.

If the house has a gravel drive, say whether the van should stay on the tarmac. We would rather carry a few metres than mark a lawn.

The library in the Reading Room is small and not open every day. The primary school is on Bollin Grove. Council tax and bins are Cheshire East. On the day, keep the lane passable. Loading is allowed, blocking the village is not.
